The Three Sedona Method Questions

General No Comments »

The Sedona method is a great way to help release all the pent up feelings that otherwise conspire to bring us down.

At the simplest level, the Sedona method gives you just three easy questions to ask yourself.

It’s not like an exam or test at college. There are no right or wrong answers. Questions 1 and 2 are yes/no questions. The third just needs an answer. More of that later.

Before you can start asking yourself the 3 Sedona questions, you have to find a feeling that is causing you some kind of issue. If it’s your first time, start simple. The bug crawling up the wall in front of you, the hum of your computer, that kind of thing. Don’t choose anything too heavy as your first session!

If you’re stuck for anything to work on, there’s a good chance you’re wondering whether the Sedona method will be good for you, so use that feeling.

Then take the feeling you’ve decided on and ask yourself the 3 Sedona Method questions

1. Could I let it go?
2. Would I let it go?
3. When?

Go through the questions in order. Don’t move on to the next question before answering. And don’t be surprised if answering these superficially simple questions takes more than a few seconds. They’re quite deep for questions that appear shallow to your conscious mind. That is why the Sedona questions work well.

As I said earlier, questions 1 and 2 need a “yes” or “no” answer. “Maybe” is not an option. Get off the fence, if only for a milli-second!

The third question is much more open. As with questions 1 and 2, you’re not limited with your answers - whatever you answer is correct. Your answer to “when” doesn’t matter too much. You could answer “now” or “tomorrow” or “next week” or “never”. So long as you answer, it’s OK. And all points inbetween.

Then simply go through the Sedona method questions again. With the original feeling if it’s still there. Or with whatever has taken its place. Go with the flow here - you’ll know what’s right for you. Either instinctively or as a deep down “gut” reaction.
