Make Friends With YOURSELF - And Get What You Want!

If you have been involved in any kind of self-development field, have dabbled in positive thinking or tried to apply the law of attraction in your life, you might have noticed that these techniques/tools/systems seem to work wonderfully well for some people and not so well for others.

In my experience as a hypnotist, coach, NLP guy, etc. for more than 20 years, the main difference lies in how people react to these techniques/tools/systems on an inner level.

Some psychologists estimate that 90% of our actions and thoughts are directed by our unconscious mind, the part of you that is responsible for breathing, heartbeat, etc.

If we sit in front of a statue of Buddha and shout for days “I am happy, I am happy”, or “Money flows to me easily and effortlessly”, but our unconscious mind does not believe in such statements, then nothing will change in our life.

It is easy to see that our unconscious is much more powerful than our conscious mind – just try holding your breath for 2 minutes or so. After a while, you will start gasping for air, whether the 2 minutes are up or not. The unconscious mind will get what it wants – in this case, oxygen.

In order to get more of what we (the conscious mind) want, we need to make sure that we are in total rapport with our unconscious mind and be really good friends with it.

One method is to think about something that feels right and notice the details. Where is that feeling located in your body, what kind of feeling is it, etc.
Then think about something that feels wrong and notice the details. Where is that feeling located in your body, what kind of feeling is it, etc.

Now think about the thing/experience/manifestation that you wish for and notice the details. Do they correspond with the right or with the wrong feeling?

Guess what: If they correspond with the wrong feeling, you will not get what you want, because on an unconscious level the decision has been made that this would be wrong for you to have.

Here is what we can do: when thinking about the thing you want and noticing the wrong feeling, imagine that you can grab the thing you want like it is a physical object and throw it away into the distance. Deep breath. Then imagine that it is coming back like a boomerang, but this time it is coming back into the good feeling. Do this flamboyantly, make noise, make big movements, that is how the unconscious gets interested in what you are doing. If it does not work the first time, do it again, until you can think about the thing you want and it feels like you deserve to have it.
