Conversational Hypnosis

Have you ever noticed how some people are able to influence individuals easily? More than likely, they are using a form of conversational hypnosis, even if they are not aware of it. By using this hypnosis, they can manipulate a conversation in such a way that they lead a person along and even begin to guide their thought process. It is a very powerful ability to have and some people simply have it naturally.

Conversational hypnosis is sometimes referred to as covert hypnosis. This is because the individual that is being led along by this form of hypnosis is not generally aware that it is going on. If they are aware that the person is trying to direct them by using covert techniques, it becomes ineffective and often the person ends up feeling the exact opposite. If you are successful using the technique, however, it can be used as a very powerful tool for influencing people both in a business and personal way.

In order to use conversational hypnosis, you're going to have to take a couple of steps. First of all, it is impossible to be able to use this form of hypnosis with somebody that you just met unless you warm them up to it first. This is actually the first step of covert hypnosis, developing a rapport with someone so that they begin to have some trust with you. It is not even necessary for you to develop a long-standing trust with an individual, by being on the same page with them in the conversation they will begin to develop the trust on their own. This can be done in a number of different ways.

The easiest way to develop a rapport with someone is to be agreeable with them. You would have to use subtlety in your conversation in order to make them understand that you agree with what ever they are saying. You have to do it in a natural way as well so that it does not come across as being fake. A good example of how to do this would be if the person that you're talking to mentioned how they did not like the color of the room that they were in. You could get on the same page with them, so to speak, by agreeing that the color was bad.

The second part of conversational hypnosis is where you actually begin to influence the individual. You do this by gently guiding them, either pulling them along or nudging them in the direction that you want them to go. Already having developed a rapport with the person, they will be more apt to allow you to leave them along. Many people who are in sales have developed this habit because it is a very effective way of being able to land a sale from cold lead. Once you master the practice yourself, you will be surprised at where you're able to go with it.
